Our Guest Speaker: John Bellaire

John Bellaire (he/him) is an education researcher and youth mentor currently serving a three-year term on the Winchester School Committee. John works full-time for a national education non-profit dedicated to expanding opportunities and improving outcomes for all students, particularly those furthest from opportunity. He has conducted research on school discipline and family engagement that has been presented to the American Educational Research Association, Sociology of Education Association, and Arkansas Department of Education. John majored in Education and Public Policy at Brown University, where he also led a civics education initiative, worked as an academic advisor, and played volleyball.

John graduated from Winchester High School in 2021, and is a proud alumni of the Winchester Model UN Team. He participated as a delegate at WinMUN I and helped organize WinMUN II, III, & IV. John was elected to the Winchester School Committee in March of 2026, and is widely believed to be the youngest town-wide elected official in Winchester history.
